One of the leading sculptors who is known with his use of materials as iron, bronze and glass together with philosophical texts to create his unique space. The Crown Fountain at Millenium Park in Chicago is a set of glass fountains mounted with huge screens that display 1,000 portraits of the citizens of Chicago. The project has become the highlight of the city. As he was awarded the gold medal from the Prague Quadrennial in 1999, he is also known for his stage design. His latest opera is to tour to Tokyo and Kobe in the summer 2008.
